The Arizona State Fair is a blast for kids and families. The fair is held every year at the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix Arizona.
It was first held in 1884 and has had interruptions for various reasons like cotton crop failures to the Great Depression and the World Wars.
The temperatures for this year fair should be in the high 80s to the low 90s during the day with temperatures dropping into the high 70s at night. That is mid-summer heat for most people in the country but nice cool weather for the Valley of the Sun natives.
Usually, the Fair has about 75 amusement rides, 110 food booths, and 300 commercial sales booths. This year there are 20 concerts planned with big names like Snoop Dog, Marilyn Manson, Rick Springfield, Midnight Star and 38 Special.
The Arizona State Fair has been rated one of the top 5 state fairs in the country and it draws well over a million visitors each year.
Like most fairs, every ride requires a fist full of tickets to ride and the overall experience can get add up in cost. Like I said the kids will have a blast but if you are looking for some adult fun, this might not be the venue for you.
If you are in Arizona you should take the time to go. Who knows you might just like it.
