Sailing Around the World With a Conquistador of the Useless!

For sailing around the world sailing records, there is a rule saying that the length must be at least 21,600 nautical miles.

The route will be calculated along the shortest possible track from the starting port and back. To be recorded the route can’t cross land or below 63°S.

You are allowed to have one single waypoint to lengthen the calculated track. As can be expected the equator must be crossed.

The Dread Pirate Dave proposes sailing around the world.
The Dread Pirate Dave – Conquistador of the Useless

My journey sailing around the world will be approximately 69,000 nautical miles and expected to take about 5 years to complete.

The adventure will start in Seattle Washington and transit the Pacific Ocean, the Coral Sea, South China Sea, Indian Ocean, Red Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic Ocean, and the Caribbean Sea. It calls for landfall on six continents, all except Antarctica.

There are some that say I am no Joshua Slocum and that is true, but I am a Nomad and know how to survive in the wild. I have been destined to wander the world from the moment of my birth. This is my time to fulfill my destiny.

Circumnavigation of the World : 69147 Nautical miles

Although the trip has not started yet the plan is in place.
